The beds were comfy, the location was solid for bus routes, and I loved the easy parking access. It made getting around a breeze!

Unpleasant odors upon entry!!! Tired furnishings and poorly lit spaces throughout!!! Staff availability needs attention, especially in the bar area!!! Invest in better maintenance and decor updates!!!

Comfortable Beds with Room for Improvement

We enjoyed our stay, particularly the comfortable beds that ensured a good night's sleep. the restaurant was closed upon arrival, forcing us to find dinner elsewhere. For future guests, check dining options ahead of time and prepare for possible maintenance issues during your stay.

The staff were absolute legends, super helpful throughout our stay! The nearby restaurants were a real treat, especially at The Street Inn for a pint and a pie.

The heating was a bit dodgy but they hooked me up with an electric heater, so all good! Could've done with more breakfast options too.

The newly decorated reception and bar area were lovely, providing a welcoming atmosphere for relaxing. The accessibility features of the hotel made it easy for me to navigate, enhancing my overall comfort during my stay....  

The location of Wessex is ideal, being just a short walk from the shopping options at Clarks Village. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring my stay was comfortable. The breakfast offered a generous selection, with fresh fruits...

The staff provided superb assistance during my stay and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived The electric car charger was a convenient touch that made my visit even smoother.

The room maintenance could use slight attention.

The location of the hotel proved convenient, especially for visiting nearby attractions. The bed felt comfy, and I genuinely appreciated the extensive breakfast options available every morning. I had a chance to relax in the cozy sitting area, which added a nice touch to my stay. the heating was a bit dodgy in my room. I struggled with varying temperatures at night and had to ask for an electric heater. the television reception wasn’t great, limiting my viewing options. I noticed the decor felt outdated and could use a refresh, as some areas looked tired and worn. I found the bathroom cleanliness left something to be desired, specifically around the bath mats. a good experience but needs a few tweaks.

The location was ideal for our visit, just five minutes from Millfield School and close to shopping at Clarks Village. Our room was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable night's sleep on plush bedding. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Sicilian pastry, and all staff members were friendly and accommodating. the exterior could use some updates, and the absence of soundproofing in some areas made noise from nearby guests noticeable.

I really appreciated the clean, spacious double room and the hot shower that helped me unwind after a long day. There’s a lovely tea dance every Monday and a cozy lounge where you can relax with friends. It was a bit inconvenient that the restaurant wasn’t open until Friday, but it didn't ruin my stay. just check the dining schedule ahead of time! 😊
